The Downtown Irwin Halloween Trick-Or-Treat and Parade

The Downtown Irwin Halloween Parade and Costume Contest features store-to-store trick-or-treating from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by a parade down Main Street, typically held on the Saturday before Halloween. It includes costume contests judged by the Dancing Witches of Westmoreland County, with prizes for the best costumes.

The Lamp Theatre in Downtown Irwin

With around 350 seats, the theater is small enough that there isn't a bad seat in the house, offering a big-theater experience in a cozy space.  The Lamp Theatre opened in downtown Irwin in 1937. Then in March of 2013 the Borough of Irwin assumed ownership of the Lamp Theatre in for $1, appointing a board to oversee construction and fundraising. Partnering with The Irwin Project, a local nonprofit, they launched the largest volunteer effort in Irwin’s history, raising $150,000 through private donations and over 3,000 volunteer hours. In 2016 The Lamp Theatre reopened as a nonprofit performing arts center and helped revitalized the Irwin community and propelled it into a cultural destination.

The Lamp Theatre, located on Main Street in historic Downtown Irwin is known for hosting a variety of live music, tribute bands, and other entertainment and performances.
